The thesis
A yield-bearing dollar on FOMO is inevitable
Here's why,
1. FOMO holders already want dollars. They just don't want to leave.
Every trader on FOMO takes profit at some point. Today that means bridging out to USDC on another chain and losing the position, the speed, and the ecosystem. A native dollar keeps the money on FOMO and keeps it working.
2. A stablecoin that pays nothing is leaving money on the table.
USDC and USDT earn billions on their reserves and keep all of it. fUSD is backed the same way, short-dated treasuries and instant-redemption USDC, but the revenue goes to the people holding it.
3. Yield that lands every block is a different product.
Staking contracts, claim buttons, and lockups are friction. When the number in your wallet simply goes up, holding the dollar becomes the default, not a decision.
4. The card closes the loop.
A dollar you can only hold is a savings account. A dollar you can tap at a coffee shop is money. The omo card spends fUSD anywhere cards are accepted, and the balance keeps earning until the exact moment you pay.
5. "Backed one to one" has to be provable, not promised.
Reserves are published onchain and update every block. Anyone can verify the collateral ratio at any time. No monthly PDF, no trust required.
6. It plugs into everything FOMO already has.
Traders already understand dollar tokens. The innovation sits behind the dollar: what backs it and who gets the yield. The user experience stays "hold and use $1."
7. A native dollar becomes the settlement layer for the chain.
Pools, perps, payroll, and payments all need a unit of account that doesn't move. Once fUSD is the pair everyone quotes in, demand for it grows with the chain itself.
8. It can subsidize adoption in a way idle stablecoins can't.
Because the protocol earns real revenue, part of it can fund the card cashback, liquidity incentives, and the boosted vault rate without printing a token to pay for it.
9. FOMO liquidity is the moat.
FOMO's native lending market is the third leg of the reserves and the source of the highest yield. No bridged stablecoin can tap it. fUSD is the only dollar that can.
10. The first hundred million is a rounding error.
Stablecoins are a $250B+ market and growing. A native dollar on FOMO reaching nine figures isn't an extreme outcome. It's an early milestone.
Why let your FOMO sit idle for a dollar that pays nothing, when you can hold a dollar that pays you?
USDT made dollars crypto-native. fUSD makes the dollar on FOMO earn.
